About Our Organization
Discover our mission, our history in Guelph's west end, and the community partners that make our programs possible.
Over 25 Years of Community Support
The Parkwood Gardens Neighbourhood Group (PGNG) was formed in 1996 by a group of dedicated residents who wanted to create a supportive, active community in Guelph's West End. In partnership with the Guelph Neighbourhood Support Coalition (GNSC), we have grown from a small group into a vital community hub.
Today, we offer an array of free programs for children, youth, and adults, alongside critical social supports. PGNG is run by a volunteer Leadership Team, program coordinators, and community volunteers.
Programs are located in area schools (such as Gateway Drive P.S. and Taylor Evans P.S.), the West End Community Centre (WECC), and the Parkwood Gardens Church.
Our Core Goals
- To provide programs for children, youth, and adults in our community.
- To improve the sense of community in the Parkwood Gardens area.
- To raise funds to help us meet community needs.
- To include students and families attending local neighbourhood schools as active members.
Diversity & Inclusion
PGNG is committed to delivering inclusive, accessible, and respectful services affirming the dignity of those we serve, regardless of heritage, beliefs, ethnicity, religion, gender, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, capabilities, or socio-economic status.
Community Partners & Sponsors
We are funded through the Guelph Neighbourhood Support Coalition, generous donations from local schools, community partners, grants, and businesses.
